I know this is highly unorthodox, but I make up my spice mix and then I put pinches of it in with green matcha tea and coconut milk. When I lived in Kerala, I was always a bit sorrowful that masala chai wasn't a thing, because I love it so much. But there, we had karim kaapi, black coffee sweetened with jaggery and spiced with ginger and black pepper. Another mighty fine drink. And ... Can we start a campaign to just stop those syrups and powders that are usurping chai? So disappointing when we see them oh! One last thing! (Always is, with me - sorry!) Someone needs to do a post on Fili's teashops in UAE. Magnificent chai range ... I'd love a Fili's in UK.

I shall check out the Filli Cafe. I would definitely joining you in getting rid of those syrups and powders - the point of chai is in the making. I feel the same way about coffee, and making it in my mock pot. There's something about making a chai just the way YOU like it - you go with the matcha and coconut milk!
